Starting Prices & Sample Routes
| Destination | Starting Price (one-way, Y) | Sample US-origin city-pair |

| London (LHR) | 22,500 | SEA/SFO/JFK–LHR (AA/BA/AS) |
| Seoul (ICN) | 20,000 | MIA–ICN (partner connection) |
| Tokyo (TYO) | 27,500 | ANC–TYO (AS/partner) |
| Amsterdam (AMS) | 20,000 | SEA/PDX–AMS (DL/AS) |
| Dublin (DUB) | 20,000 | SAN–DUB etc. |
| Honolulu (HNL) | 11,500 | West Coast–HNL (AS/HA) |
Starting prices = lowest one-way sample seen in last 24 hrs; actual pricing varies by route/origin/date/inventory. Always check live search.
Stopover Rules (The Quiet Win)
- One-way international: 1 enroute stopover, up to 14 days
- Roundtrip international: 2 stopovers (1 each direction)
Example: ANC–TYO one-way can stop ANC 14 days (AS metal). US–LON RT can stop SEA en route out, JFK en route back—both inside the 50% off framework. This is the real differentiator vs. cherry-picking零散 availability from the regular award calendar.
Cost & Restrictions to Watch
Partner taxes + $20 fee
AS/HA operated segments: taxes from ~$5.60 p.p. ow. International itineraries with partner segments: taxes often >$100 p.p. ow, plus a $20 nonrefundable partner award fee p.p. ow. That 20k ICN ticket can look less sexy once partner levies + $20 land. Always expand “Total Taxes & Fees” in the search panel before booking.
Lap infants on partner awards = no-go
Terms explicitly bar lap infants on partner award tickets (not allowed to book or board). Contact the partner airline for cash infant seating. Families needing a partner connection (e.g., US–ICN via KE/JL/BA etc.) are effectively ruled out of this wave.
Economy only
This is a 50% off economy wave, not covering PE/J. If you were targeting J to Europe (AS–BA/AY J redemptions etc.), this isn’t it—search the regular Atmos J chart instead.
Before searching specific city-pairs, confirm your Atmos balance (top-up via Bilt/transfer/100% bonus buy if needed—separate promo, not bundled here):

Is It Worth It
| Profile | Call |
|---|---|
| US–Europe shoulder season (LHR/AMS/DUB), cash already cheap on TK/LO etc. | ⚠️ 50% off miles + partner taxes+$20 → may not beat discounted Y cash; compare all-in含税 before transferring |
| US–ICN/TYO, Atmos miles accessible (Bilt/transfer/buy) | ✅ 20k/27.5k is competitive for US-origin NE Asia; ANC–TYO 27.5k is the sleeper win of this wave |
| West Coast–HNL (11.5k) | ✅ AS/HA metal, low taxes, cash often $150+ off-season → clean value |
| Lap infant + partner connection | ❌ Partner awards won’t accept infant; must reroute to AS/HA sole metal |
| Targeting J / ex-US origin | ❌ Not covered by this wave |
Context: Atmos Rewards Transition
Mileage Plan formally transitioned into Atmos Rewards across 2025–2026 (post-Hawaiian merger). Global Getaways is one of the first or second seasonal promos under the Atmos brand. The “50% off” is relative to standard Atmos economy redemption levels, not relative to cash fares—helps set expectations (e.g., 22.5k LHR isn’t “half of cash,” it’s half of Atmos standard Y which is usually ~45k).
Also: booking window is only 4 days (Jul 1–4), travel starts Sep 1—classic “lock inventory early for shoulder season” play. If you already have a US-origin long-haul plan Sep–Nov, search these six cities during Jul 1–4 rather than waiting until August; open-jaws + stopover combos are easier to catch now than later.
FAQ
Q1: Does it have to be Alaska-operated?
No. Alaska, Hawaiian, and global partner (oneworld etc.) economy awards qualify. Starting prices are “last 24h minimum samples”—your city-pair may not show the floor.
Q2: How to use the stopovers?
Example: US–LHR RT, stop SEA outbound + JFK inbound, both count inside Global Getaways—no extra miles.
Q3: Are partner taxes really that bad?
AS/HA metal ~$5.60 ow; partner intl often >$100 ow + $20/segment/pax nonrefundable. Always expand the taxes line before confirming.
Q4: Can I bring a lap infant?
Partner award tickets won’t accept lap infant bookings or boarding—must contact partner for cash infant seat. If you need a partner connection (e.g., US–ICN via KE), this wave is out.
Q5: Can I book after July 4?
No. Booking window closes Jul 4 2026. Travel window Sep 1–Nov 15. After Jul 4 it reverts to standard Atmos economy pricing (significantly higher).
