Finnair has brought back one of its best points sales of the year — and this one comes with a double bonus.
From November 2 to November 16, 2026, Finnair Plus members can buy Avios at up to 50% off, while also earning 10% back in Tier Points on their purchase.
It’s the lowest price Finnair has offered Avios all year, and one of the smartest ways to top up your balance before winter travel.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to stock up on Avios — whether for a Finnair award, a British Airways or Iberia redemption, or simply to keep your balance active — buy Finnair Avios on the official sale page while the offer window is open.

What Are Avios and Why This Sale Matters
Avios is the rewards currency shared by a family of airline loyalty programs — including Finnair Plus, British Airways Executive Club, Iberia Plus, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club. That shared-currency system is exactly why a Finnair Avios sale is worth watching even if you rarely fly Finnair: Avios move freely and without fees between these programs, so you can buy at the cheapest source and spend where the value is highest.
Finnair’s position in the oneworld alliance adds even more flexibility. Your Avios can be redeemed across the entire oneworld network — for Finnair’s award flights between Europe and Asia, British Airways and Iberia transatlantic routes, and partner airlines beyond. During this sale, the top tier brings the effective cost down to roughly 1.05 euro cents per Avios, which is significantly less than buying Avios directly from British Airways, Iberia, or Qatar Airways on a normal day. That makes it one of the most cost-effective ways to build or top up an Avios balance in 2026.
Finnair Avios Discount Tiers
The more Avios you buy, the bigger the discount. Here’s the full breakdown:
| Avios Purchased | Discount | Tier Points Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| 0 – 4,000 | 0% | 10% |
| 5,000 – 19,000 | 30% | 10% |
| 20,000 – 49,000 | 35% | 10% |
| 50,000 – 84,000 | 40% | 10% |
| 85,000 – 200,000 | 50% | 10% |
At the top tier, the effective cost works out to roughly 1.05 euro cents per Avios — significantly below what Iberia, Qatar Airways, or British Airways typically charge when you buy directly from them. That makes this one of the cheapest ways to acquire Avios this year. Prices vary by currency, and paying in JPY can shave the cost down even further, so it’s worth checking the exchange rate your card offers before you check out.
Why Buying Finnair Avios This Week Makes Sense
- Lowest price of the year. Finnair hasn’t offered Avios this cheaply in 2026 — the discount stacks the full 50% at the top tier.
- Free movement between Avios programs. Avios can be moved freely and without fees between Finnair Plus, British Airways Executive Club, Iberia Plus, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Buy cheap here, use it where it’s worth most.
- Status-boosting potential. The 10% Tier Points bonus plus the option to convert Avios to Tier Points at a 3:1 ratio means a well-timed purchase can help you reach or keep Silver, Gold, or Platinum status — no flying required.
- Extends your balance. Buying Avios counts as account activity, which keeps your existing Avios valid for another 18 months.
- oneworld access. Finnair is a oneworld member, so your Avios open up award flights across the entire alliance — including great value long-haul routes between Europe and Asia.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Finnair Avios cost during this sale?
At the top tier, Avios cost roughly 1.05 euro cents each (prices vary by currency — paying in JPY can shave the cost further). That’s the lowest Finnair Avios price all year and well below what you’d pay buying Avios directly from British Airways, Iberia, or Qatar Airways.
Who is eligible for the 50% discount offer?
Finnair Plus members who joined the program before October 30, 2026, and have at least 50 Avios in their account. The purchase must be for yourself (gift purchases don’t qualify), and the transaction must be completed by November 16, 2026.
How do tier points work with this sale?

Can I use bought Avios with British Airways or Iberia?

What is the maximum amount of Avios I can buy in this sale?
