Which links may be affiliate/referral links
Throughout LoyaltyTip, you may encounter:
- Airline/hotel loyalty program buy-points portals — e.g., IHG One Rewards Points & Cash, Flying Blue, JetBlue TrueBlue, American AAdvantage, where links may carry a referral parameter so the program (or a partner network such as GA-net) can attribute the purchase.
- Cashback & shopping portal referrals — e.g., Rakuten Rebates (formerly Ebates), credit card shopping portals (Chase Ultimate Rewards Shopping, Amex Offers portal, Citi Bonus Cash Center, Capital One Shopping, etc.), and other cashback networks we may join in the future.
- Partnerize and other affiliate networks — we participate in programs managed through Partnerize, GA-net, and similar platforms. When you click a link routed through these networks, a cookie is placed to track the referral so we may receive a commission.
These links are identified in various ways — sometimes via a brief note near the link, sometimes via URL parameters (?ref=, /ref/, or an affiliate redirect domain such as c.ga-net.com). The absence of a visible note does not mean a link is non-affiliate; when in doubt, assume commercial links on this Site may be affiliated.
Does this affect pricing or editorial?
No. Affiliate/referral commissions do not affect the price you pay — your booking, purchase, or sign-up goes through the merchant exactly as if you’d arrived directly. They also do not affect our editorial: we cover promos we think readers should know about, whether or not an affiliate link exists. That said, affiliate revenue helps keep the Site running, so we appreciate you using our links when they’re available.
